Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Georgia

Music on Website

Ok I've seen lots of websites that play copyrighted music on their page. I'm starting a clothing line, if I play copyrighted music on the page what will happen?? Even if its illegal, could you perhaps go into details on how likely it is I will get sued, or will they just ask me to remove it?

Thank you very much and I appreciate the help.

NOTE: The song that I'm putting is the same name as my company...just to give a better picture.

Re: Music on Website

It is not legal to use copyrighted material on your website. However, there are exceptions that probably would not apply to your situation. If you do use such protected music, they would probably send a cease and desist letter demanding that you stop using the songs.
