We do not know the terms of your employment, and certainly cannot get into the mind of your employer and speculate about what they would do if you refused. Generally, employment in Georgia is "at will" and you can be fired for any reason or no reason, except where a contract applies and certain limited reasons apparently not at issue. Conversely, employees have a right to quit and find a new job. I'd think not following a supervisors direction is often grounds for termination, and possibly a reason to be denied unemplyment compensation.
