If an individual's job is abolished is the individual entitled to maintain their salary or what rights do the employee have or do they have any rights?

If you're not under contract and you don't belong to a union, because you're in Georgia, you are entitled to unemployment and that's it. If the employer switched you to a different position, you would be entitled to the salary of that position.
