Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Use of personal Credit Cards for Corporate travel
The company I have been employed by for over 7 years have purchased airline tickets and hotel reservations for my corporate directed travel. They are now changing the policy making the individual traveler provide the corporate arranged travel agency with a credit card number and limited power of attorney to arrange for the individuals travel.
Upon completion of the travel amd submission of a voucher, reimbursement will be paid back to the individual who is responsible for the credit card.
Can the company as a term of employment after a reasonable period require the individual to obligate personal funds to accomplish a company goal with the only the promise to reimburse the individual?
