Eviction

I filed an eviction for my tennat to vacate premises. I missed court date because of work and case was dismmissed. He filed chapter13 after he was served eviction warrant. Is there anyway i can get my money owed even though he filed eviction?

Your best option is likely to see a Bankruptcy lawyer (perhaps one who can also pursue the eviction for you) immediately to get the tenant out ASAP. Otherwise, you may get stuck in a very long process between Bankrutcy Court and the eviction process. Many landlords may find themselves out 3-4 months of rent or more simply by not acting quickly and appropriately.
