Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Ways to serve an Eviciton Notice

The county magistrate court in which I own rental property has a ridiculously large fee for serving an eviction notice byway of the local sheriff. If I have a proper and professional letter for a notice to pay rent/quit or an eviction notice, is there another way to have the notice officially served without going through the local authorities?

Re: Ways to serve an Eviciton Notice

Probably not. Unless your county has a rare exception, you must have the sheriff attempt to serve the defendant-tenant initially.
