Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

hospital lien

Injured in a vehicle accident.....not at fault. The hospital would not submit claim to the insurance companny......hoped for a big settlement. Filed a lien with the Courts. The medical expenses are far in excess of what the at fault liability insurance will cover. What can be done about the lien.

Re: hospital lien

The hospital may be required by law to use the insurance. Also there are state laws which require you to be completely compensated before reimbursement can take place. Hospital liens are difficult to deal with. I would be glad to discuss your case with you in more detail.
