Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

In GA Code 44-6-190, what exactly does the sentence in the following quote mean? "If all persons owning joint tenant interest in a property join in the same lifetime transfer, no serverance shall occur." Can you give an example? Or, does the following apply.... The husband transfers his property to his wife and himself as JTWROS. Also, are there homestead rights in GA that prevent one spouse from selling homestead property interest without the concent of the other spouse? If so, do they have to join in the same deed, or can 2 seperate deeds be executed?
