Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Homeowners Association

We have been living in our home for 6 years. The people here never formed a board and never paid dues. The developer, who sold the properties to the builder, is now after 8 years is attempting to place liens on homes if a board is not created and dues paid. Every home was sold and there are not any amenities i.e. tennis courts etc. to speak of nor room to build any. The subdivision consists of maybe 14 homes.

Re: Homeowners Association

Check your purchase documents to determine if an HOA is required. If so, you may have some liability for doing so.
