Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

property claims

I have paid the back taxes on a familiy home for the last three years. But I am not the heir to the property. Can I claim this property in my name. And if so how many years do I have to wait?

Re: property claims

Since I don't know if the owner of the property is alive or not, I will give you two answers. If the owner is alive, you can assert a claim against the owner. If deeceased you can assert a claim against the executor or administrator of the estate. You don't have to wait. Consult with a local attorney.
