suit against an appraiser

a lending institution wants to sue myself the appraiser claiming i conspired with the real estate agent to give fradulent informtaion. i didn't know the agent or the mortgage broker or their company, yet they are not suing the person who made the original sale contract with the mortgage company but suing the mortgage broker, real estatte agent, and the appraiser. how do i reply to this summons because i can't afford an attorney at this time?

I can't tell you how to answer the complaint without seeing it. In a very general sense, if any part of the paragraph is incorrect in your opinion or knowledge, deny it.

Although you say you can't afford an attorney, I would strongly advise you hire local counsel to help you with this case. Litigation is very tricky.
