Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Georgia

sexual orientation in Georgia

I know that GA has no law reference to sexual orientation discrimination. However, is an employee protected via sexual harassment laws if the harassment is due to sexual orientation and is sexual in nature?

Re: sexual orientation in Georgia

Same-sex sexual harassment (e.g., a gay male sexually harassing another gay male) is protected under federal law (Title VII). Additionally, although sexual orientation discrimination is generally not protected under Title VII, harassment or discrimination based on gender stereotyping is protected (e.g., a male harasses another male because he perceives him to be effeminate).
