Legal Question in Traffic Law in Georgia

Okay if I was speeding on a curvy road and a cop coming the other way put on his lights but after passing me and I only saw them on for a split second before the next turn and then punched it and turned off on the next road can I still be cited for the ticket and for how many days? Also is it that bad? I mean he passed me and if i didnt look in my mirror I could claim I never saw the lights because he never did pursue me from behind where like he was chasing me. Any help on the matter would be very helpful!! THANKS
