Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

intestate property

My deceased mother's property is about to be in foreclosure. She left no will. Would it be better for a family member to try to stop the foreclosure and purchase the home or buy the foreclosed property?

Re: intestate property

There are lot of issues involved in this simple question. I would suggest that that a family member qualify as administrator so that they can handle this business on behalf of the estate. Then you can contact the bank and perhaps stop or delay the foreclosure so that you can get everything in order. This is ususally not a high cost procedure. Contact a local attorney or the probate court and get the process started as it will take a few days and time is of the essence.
