Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

Proof of blood line

How can I prove my heritage through a first cousin. My grandfather is not listed on my mother's birth certificate, and there is real property to be divided among grandchildren. All of my grandfather's family acknowledges that my mother is his child, but I need to be sure, so if questions arise about my bloodline. Is there a legal form that I can have my 1st cousins notarize, or what legal procedure must I follow. Help me please. Thanking you in advance.

Re: Proof of blood line

Hard to do without a birth certificate today, but may be possible through the Surrogate's Court, if the executor/administrator recognizes this, along with notarized statements. You might also try to get baptismal records if they show who the parents are, as additional proof.
