Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia

someone keeps promising to leave me their estate but hasn't put it in writing yet. would it be legal if it was on audio tape? I think she is just using me to do things for her.

It's not legal unless she writes a will (and bear in mind she can change a will at any time).

A promise will not get you anything - the person needs to preferably get to an attorney and get a properly drafted written will. Oral wills are generally invalid.

You and she have your priorities all messed up. You should do things to help her only if you want to do so. You should never do things out of any kind of expectancy. Wills can be changed up to the minute of death, so even if she makes a will, there are no guarantees you will be in it.

And maybe she is using you. If that is the case, you should not allow yourself to be used and manipulated and should stop doing whatever it is you are doing. Perhaps if you stop doing things for her, she will come to appreciate you more. Or she will find another patsy.
