Last Will and Testament

I am trying to update my mother's will to reflect her wishes regarding her final resting place. My father's will is very specific and we want to make sure they are together.

So, what's the problem? Just consult with a local attorney in the county where your mother resides to make sure it is done properly. You can try it yourself, but you act at your own peril if all the T's are not crossed and the I's dotted.

Wills have nothing to do with burial decisions. That right always belongs to the next of kin.

Take your mother to an estate planning attorney. Have her execute a document called "agent to control the disposition of remains" and put in specific instructions. Also, check with the funeral facility where your father is interred and see if they have 'pre-need' plans. Your mother can make her own arrangements as she sees fit.
