Legal Question in Personal Injury in Hawaii

personal injury

My wife fell on a wet floor in the supermarket. She filed an accident report the next day because of lower back pain that was not there before the fall. She tried to make a doctor's appointment through our HMO, but the HMO refused service because it may involve a third party insurance. What is the HMO's obligation to provided service and what kind of responsibilty does the supermarket have to provide?

Re: personal injury

Contact the store mqnager to make a claim for medical benefits from the store. Usually, the store's insurance policy will cover up to a certain amount of medical/treatment benefits. If your wife continues to have pain and suffering or has a diagnosed serious injury from the fall, she should retain an attorney to work on the case for a contingent fee basis.
