Legal Question in Family Law in Idaho

child support

My boyfriend and I are no longer together. However, I am pregnant with his child. Can I collect child support while I am pregnant, or can I only collect after the baby is born.

Re: child support

I believe that you can obtain financial assistance during the pregnancy. To find out for sure contact your local welfare office, or whatever it is called. File a claim for financial assistance. So long as you honestly answer the questions on the application and from the social worker, worst they can do is say no.
