Please provide more information e.g are you a US Citizen yourself? Does he have a criminal record?

Depends on what your status is and what his is. You need to provide more information for an accurate reply. Did he enter legally? Did he overstay his visa? Does he have any criminal convictions? Are you a citizen? Etc.
