Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Illinois

Unemployment Compensation Denial; Pennsylvania

I was an over the road truck driver as a team with my husband working coast to coast for 3-4 weeks at a time thru a company out of Pennsylvania. My mother was hospitalized for a stroke and I was informed she was diagnosed with stroke related dementia and that she would be released within 24 hours with the need of 24 hour care due to her diagnosis. I panicked, immediately quit my job and went home to take care of her. I have now been denied unemployment compensation because I did not exhaust all alternatives prior to quitting. I am appealing the decision and need to know what I need to do to get this decision overturned and in my favor. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lori

It doesn't sound like there's too much to be done, but you should find a lawyer in your area specializing in employment law.
