Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Illinois

I took a fast loan from a company in 2006. i filed bankruptcy in 2008. i am being threatened by this loan company, to be put in jail and they are calling my work all day long. i told them i filed bankruptcy and they said it did not matter. because the payments were to come out of my bank acct. i was so far behind in my bills and my acct was in the hole. so every payment was returned. they will not take any payments, my question is how can i handle this.

I don't quite know what a "fast loan" is, but I assume that it is one of these pay day loans, or something similar. I further assume that these folks were listed in your schedules, AND after the 341 Meeting, that you were eventually granted a Discharge. The discharge is a continuing injunction against the behavior engaged in by this creditor. Might I suggest that you contact the attorney who handled your bankruptcy?

Absolutely contact your attorney and have them right a letter to cease and desist or you can have them file a federal lawsuit for violating the bankruptcy code regarding discharged creditors.
