Legal Question in Technology Law in Illinois

Yahoo Instant Messenger

I have a Yahoo IM profile and in that proflie is an old profile picture which I do not wish to keep on there since it is old and misleading. However, when I go to delete it I am not allowed to because of a glitch in the Yahoo website (I am told Yahoo Photos is closed). So, if Yahoo no longer has my permission to post this picture on my profile, isn't it against the law for Yahoo to keep it posted? I've contacted them about the problem and all they said is that they know about it and they are working on it.

Re: Yahoo Instant Messenger

First, you need to check the terms and conditions in effect on Yahoo! at the time you posted the photo, as well as any applicable changes that have been made since that time. The relationship between you and Yahoo! is voluntary and is governed by the agreement between you and Yahoo!

Second, even if this violates the terms and conditions (which I suspect it does NOT), you have very little you can do from a practical standpoint other than continue to pester them about it. It would be silly to incur legal expenses to sue to have Yahoo! remove the picture, even if you had a case.
