Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Please advise if it is legal for a Dentist to charge in advance for services not yet performed. The Dentist did not post notification nor notify me that they will invoice me in advance of the services being performed.

I doubt there is anything "illegal" about it. I also cannot see how you would be obligated to pay for the services in advance. On the other hand, the dentist is under no obligation to provide the services if you do not care to pay in advance. Personally, I would probably look for a new dentist.
