What if I just quit paying on my credit cards? Could I go to jail?

No, the creditors might sue you for what you owe, but that would be a civil case not a criminal case.

No, you do not go to jail for not paying your bills. However, if you were sued, and a judgment was obtained, and then you were served with a citation to discover assets, and failed to appear resulting in a rule to show cause being served on you and you still didn't show, a body attachment could be issued with a bond amount which could result in you being arrested until such time you pay the bond or there is a bond return hearing, whichever is sooner.
