Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Dead Beat Mortgage Companies

I have mortgage companies who are not paying for appraisals they ordered and received. Can I place a lein on the mortgage company? The State of Illinois has said they can not help because they do not have the staff anymore. With all of the mortgage fraud out there why are the lenders not held accountable for their bills??

You will have to sue them. Lenders are just as accountable for their bills as anyone else. If you don't pay your credit card bill, the credit card company has no way to collect other than sue you. Your situation is no different.
