Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

Can I be sued for a son's medical bill

I am being named in a lawsuit by a clinic for a bill incurred by my 26 year old son. He lives in my home. I do not have any insurance on him in my name. His insurance was through his employer. He did not have a money order and I did send in one payment on his behalf. Can I be held responsible for this bill and can I legally be sued for it?

No, the only way you could be included in the suit is if you signed an agreement saying you were responsible for the medical bills.
