Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I have a Discover card that was to have been closed in 2002 or before. I was given only one chance to go to court and there in my file shows this . it also has the acount closed in 2007. and the charges are for late and over the limit. can i over turn this ?

After two years it is hard to overturn a verdict, unless there was some problem with the original service. In IL, the statute of limitations on credit cards is five years from later of last use or payment. So, if this is the case you do not have to pay anything as there has been at least five years elaspsed.
