Legal Question in Criminal Law in Illinois

checking account fraud?

I already mentioned removal of $1318.00 from my checking acc't twice both of which bounced as I had no knowledge of withdrawal. They are trying to collect money on a title loan but I NEVER gave them permission to take money out of my account! I tried to work it out with them and had a set payment but I would get an answering machine or when dealing with them directly on the phone kept stalling about me paying different amounts that kept changing. All this time they said we could ''work things out'', at NO POINT did they give me a time ultimatum but I guess they just decided to take $1318.00 out of my account without my permission - not once but they even tried a second time! Of course they both bounced. Finally when they couldn't ''steal'' my money they came during the night and took my car. Up to the morning when my car was gone it was NEVER implied even subtly (by phone or letter) that i had limited time to save my car. I have NEVER given anyone permission to just go into my account without my approval, as i barely have enough to get by on- I am on disability.

You should contact the State of Illinois to make sure that you are not the victim of illegal collections practices. Considering your financial status, the State is the best place to turn to get proper help and representation.
