Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Illinois

In October 2011, my daughter started a job as a personal banker and she was approx 15 weeks pregnant, when she started to show, the company told her that they did not honor maternity leaves and when she calls in to say she is going in to labor, that is considered her resignation. The baby is due February 22, 2012. Apparently, this is how the company handles every pregnant woman that works there. Is this a case for discrimination?

it very well might be. although you are out of our area and we couldn't do the case, your daughter is welcome to call one of our employment lawyers ( carla pyle, rich long, adam sedia, nicole keith) and run it by one of them. there is no charge for a telephone call. ps - it is difficult to imagine that an established buisness would risk such exposure today. good luck
