Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

Consequences of efusal of test without being arrested

I refused to take a breathalizer during a traffic stop in Cook county Illinois. I took a field sobriety test and passed it. The officer instructed me to drive back to the police station where I was issued a traffic ticket and allowed to leave with my keys. I was told not to pick up my car until morning. I was not arrested.

Can refusal of an implied consent law result in license suspension without an arrest?

You won't be suspended because you were not arrested for DUI.

What kind of traffic ticket?

Arrest has nothing to do with whether the ticket triggers an administrative punishment (like license suspension)
