Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

Driving with a suspended license.

i was arrested for driving with a suspended license few days ago.

And i have no idea why the cop said that my license was suspended, and i just got arrested by the cops. I asked the cops that why my license was suspended, and the cops said that i didn't show up on the court that i suppost to do.

But instead, i pretty sure that i went to the court that i suppost to go before.

So i want to know what should i do right now. And i don't know what to do. Please Help

Re: Driving with a suspended license.

The Failure to appear suspension is among the easier ones to correct. It requires going to court and having the case brought before the judge where you were supposed to have appeared and addressing the ticket. Once the judge vacates the failure to appear, a reinstatement fee needs to be paid to the Secretary of State, and your driving privileges will be restored, assuming that there is no other reason for your suspension. You have a serious problem, but it can be dealt with. For more information about suspended license situations please visit: http://shestokas.com/Suspended_License.html

You are facing 1 year in jail, a fine of $2,500, or both. Hire an attorney.
