Legal Question in DUI Law in Illinois

DUI Statue of limitations

In 2002 I was arrested for a DUI. My question is how long do I have to wait before the statue of limitations runs out and I can get my license back. I am in desperate mode to get a job and can't get there with out a license. I live in Williamson County, Illinois

Re: DUI Statue of limitations

Once you have been arrested, the statute of limitations has been satisfied. I asume that you did not appear in court to face these charges. There is a warrant for your arrest looming out there. You have to clear the DUI up before you can get your license back. On the other hand, if you did everything you were required to do by the court, and you're still suspended, call the Secretary of State, Motor Vehicles Division and ask them what you need to do to get your license back. This answer is not to be construed to be legal advice, but merely a limited answer to a question. Please seek legal advice.
