Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Illinois

Fundraiser for Volleyball Club

I paid for club volleyball up front and in full. Now they are asking for the kids to do a fundraiser by selling something. I do not agree to have my child selling door to door and declined. They stated I will have to either pay of the items ($105) or they will take me to court.

I never signed anything agreeing to sell. Can they take me to small claims court?

If you took possession of the items, and refused to return them or pay for them, then I suppose they could sue you. If you never took possession of the items, then unless you signed some sort of agreement wherein you agreed to do this, I cannot see what kind claim they could have against you. All sounds a bit petty to me. Personally, I would find a new league next year.
