Sports Logos

I am starting a new bussiness. I need to know if I can use spots logos in my work. My plan is to paint bedrom sets for little boys to teens in the childs favorite team colors. I would also like to offer handmade bedding with team logos. My question is, if I buy something with a team logo on it, (like fabric) can I use it in my design and display it on my web page without any further permission? If I do need permission, how would I go about it?

At the outset you may not because yuo potentially would be violating the teams' trademark and your business venture would derive capital fom their registered marks. Second, You are likely to create a sense of confussion among your customers as well the public making them believe that you are somehow affiliated or connected with these sport teams-and that is exactly why there are trademark/copyright laws. Can someone find out, maybe and maybe not-but you are opening your self up to liability by doing this.
