how old must a child be for child support to end?

The answer is one of three possible scenarios. First, if a child has dropped out of high school or has graduated high school when she turns 18, support stops when the child turns 18. If the child is in high school and graduates during the year when she's 18, then support stops upon graduation. At the latest, no matter what, support stops when child turns 19. But, you still likely need to get into court to formally terminate support.
