Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I went to court, filed divorced papers, gave the papers to the sherrif to serve my wife, my wife was served with the papers and then in the next few days I received divorce papers from my wife by a sherrif, she was aparently filing but did not tell me and I did tell her I was filing. Her papers state that the court date is before my court date scheduled on my papers to her. Does one case get thrown out and if so whose?? I have been taking care of our 3 year old daughter all the time and just recently becase we are finally getting the divorce becuase she found out she was pregnant she now wants to be the custodial parent and refuses to let me see my child. She even stated in her papers that our daughter has lived with her her entire life. My wife lives with her parents or with friends and does not even provide our child with her own bedroom and bed. help! what do I do??
