Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My husband left home almost 3 months ago because he's having tax problems with the State of Illinois from his business. He owes close to $1 million. I know he's not coming home to face his problems. We have two homes, plus 2 lots, all paid for. I am not able to pay the real estate taxes and misc. utilities. Plus he left me with credit card debt and a $8,000 hospital bill. All the property is in both our names. Is it possible to sell some of the real estate to pay the bills?

Unless one of you plans to file for legal separation or divorce, you can do whatever you want because you are still married.

Respectfully, as long as his name is on the house too, you can not sell it without a court order.
