Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My husband just received a personal injury settlement. I am a 100% comp Vet. My military disability and Social security have been the main source of support in our home since his accident. He has decided I am entitled to none of it. Is this settlement considered joint marital property since I am divorcing him over this. He has cashed it all and hid it. Will I have any recourse.

I have had this type of situation twice and both times the court decided that if the injury occurred during the marriage that the award was marital property and the other spouse was entitled to a percentage. You should speak with an attorney about representing you in this matter.
