Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

my husbands ex has not maintained consistent contact with the kids for 11 months before that 9 years my husband and i have been supporting them for 9 yrs with nothing from her til 09 when she got made to pay...what i want to know is since she hasnt maintained contact legally can i just have a judge take her rights and let my wife adopt them

Hello. In Illinois the courts generally don't order the non custodial parent to visit with their children. In your situation it is unlikely that the court will take away the parental rights of your husband's ex.
