Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

max for alimony in IL?

What is the maximum a spouse can get for alimony in the state of Illinois? I assume the answer will be a % of gross earnings. Or is it % of net earnings?

Re: max for alimony in IL?

There is no set percentage for maintenance (ALIMONY) in Illinois. There would be a hearing and the judge would first decide if maintenance would be awarded at all. If the judge decides that it would be awarded, he would then decide how much based on your income and expenses. Please call for a free consultation.
