Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

My parents bought my wife and I a house. I wish to get a divorce, but don't want her to get any part of the house. We have a rental property that still has a mortgage on it. Can I quit claim the rental to her and keep the house that has no mortgage on it?

You can do that if she agrees to the swap. If not, the house is part of the "marital estate" and, as such, is subject to distribution as part of the marital property settlement.
