Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

I was recently informed that my soon to be ex husband is growing in the basement of his home. He has custody of our two children age 5 & 14. We are still going through our divorce at this time. I am currently not employed and was told that when he is turned in, which will be very very soon, that my children will either go into foster care or be placed with another family member. Is this information correct? I am currently living with my grandmother, we are both scared to death over this, and there are two extra bedrooms in her home that are not in use. I am doing everything within my power to find employment but this economy is terrible. I have no background to speak of. His background contains numerous batteries, endless traffic violations, fighting charges, dui's, and drug related offenses and he was granted custody because at the time he made more money according to the judge he felt it was better for our children. The judge we have is new to family law unfortunately.

Sounds like you have no lawyer. GET ONE. THIS IS FOR YOUR CHILDREN. Do it now. Your soon-to-be-ex may be obligated to pay for your attorney if you can't afford one. There is other intermin relief available.
