Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

I don't know the area of law to choose. I'm being sued and I'm reresenting myself. We are in discovery and the other lawyer didn't provide me with the information I requested. He said it didn't "exsist". Can I use this against him knowing that the information does?

How do you know the information exists? Unless you can prove by hard tangible evidence that the info exists, there is not much you can do to counter the attorney's assertion that the info you need does not exist.

If you can prove that the evidence exists and that the attorney or his client knew about it, yes you can. However, you need to learn how you can use it. There are a variety of ways to approach this. depending on the situation.
