Credit Card

A relative ran up a credit card in my name two years ago. She has been late several times and know refuses to pay. I made her a authorised user, and she charged the card conducted a balance transfer ith out my concent.I want to take her to small claims court in illinois. I have no clue what to present to the judge because with had nothing in writing.

Even if you have nothing in writing, you should be able to bring a small claims action based upon several legal theories. These would include implied contract, unjust enrichment, joint and several liability and contribution. You will need an IL attorney to do this, preferable one who works in the county of her residence. You should certainly cancel the card if you have not done so already.
