Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

Hairdresser Error

I bought a hair system (credit card) from this salon owner, she cut it beautifully upon application to my head. I returned for service the second time and she ruined it by cutting it to short without asking me, and noe denies it. It isnt even paid for and its ruined. Im an ex hairdresser so I KNOW about hair, and how mine should look, She says I have strange hair. As a licensed person she should have experience in all types of hair. she told me she did. We are not strangers. I seriously need your help here. Shonn. A.

Re: Hairdresser Error

It sounds like you should file a claim in the small claims court for the district court where the hairdresser is located. It sounds like a difficult case. Lawyers are not allowed in small claims courts. William S. Stern

Re: Hairdresser Error

Hello. Its clear that you did not get what you

bargained for. You may want to consider filing

a lawsuit. In Illinois a licensed professional

is held to standards of care as to the services

that they provide customers. I am certain that

you felt even worse when this person denied that

she ruined your hair and apparently has not

offered to reimburse you, etc. I suggests taking

her to court. I will be happy to answer any

additional questions you might have.
