Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois

piece of metal in cookie

My wife had bought a package of chips ahoy cookies couple of weeks ago, and when i bit down into one, I noticed something hard. So i bit again and noticed it was something that wasnt going to crumble, so I ran my finger in my mouth and brought out a piece of metal that was inside the cookie. I contacted nabisco they are sending a prepaid envelope to send the metal back to them. Iwas wondering if there was anything else I could do. If my 2 year would have eaten that cookies, she wouldnt have known to not swallow the metal

Re: piece of metal in cookie

Since you were not hurt, there is not anything you can do form a civil standpoint. You could contact the FDA.
