Re: stop summons

What is the basis of your argument in support of wanting to stop a summons? If you just want to stop it because you don't like it--you are out of luck. Otherwise, if you are not the right person who is being summoned then you can file a motion to quash the summons in court and go in front of the judge and tell him or her why the summons should be quashed.

Otherwise, there is not much you can do--if you are summoned, you better show up otherwise you will be held in contempt and the court may issued a warrant for your arrest.

I hope this helps,

You can not, without an order of court.
