Legal Question in Insurance Law in Illinois

A vehicle I sold was involved in a collision. The new owner was at fault while driving but the vehicle is still licensed to me. Who is liable?

Not certain of all of the details. My concerns are as your comment that the vehicle is still licensed - do you mean the title is still in your name? The insurance (if any) typically follows the owner. If there is no insurance then the not at fault driver may have an action against you and the current owner/driver. However, you may be able to seek recovery against the other driver but that depends upon if their is an issue of negligent entrustment of the vehicle to a driver with no license may also be a concern.

I recommend having local counsel review to address all of the details and your concerns.
