Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

I work for a delivery company with two shifts of delivery drivers, with the second shift starting at roughly 2:00 p.m. Those drivers were hired with a bonus dollar an hour (because most people would rather work the first shift, among other things). Recently, we were told that those same drivers would not get the extra dollar when we were taking our paid vacation time, even though we have been getting it for years. Can management just reduce our hourly pay like that?

Unless there is an employment contract or collective bargaining agreement which prevents it, the employer can reduce wages.
